It began in a house of two buildings separated by a catwalk. While in one building a feeling urged me to walk the cat walk to the other building where I appeared in my moms bedroom with her and my niece in bed. After an exchange of some sort, as a response my mom mentioned to me to remember how my sister passed away (an image of her death reflected in my mind). A ran to her bedroom closet in fear and hid closing the door. When the door reopened, it was my previous stepfather/mom's ex-husband telling me never to hide in the closet. I ran downstairs towards the street to run away. At a distance I noticed wolves making their way to the home. After realizing theyre coming to the home I was at, I ran back up stairs. Watching them from the cat walk enter the home, afraid I ran to roof, one met me there near. I realized they were hunting me, afraid as the rest stormed the roof also, I began to float away and get carried away from the and the home in the air.
Dreams often serve as reflections of our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and past experiences. Your dream presents a complex narrative filled with significant symbols and emotions, which warrants a detailed interpretation.
House and Catwalk: Houses in dreams often symbolize the self or one’s psyche, with different rooms representing different aspects of your life or personality. The catwalk can indicate a transitional space or a bridge between different states of being or emotions. It suggests you are navigating between different parts of your life or past experiences.
Your Mother and Niece in Bed: Your mother represents nurturing, comfort, or perhaps feelings of protection and safety. The presence of your niece symbolizes innocence, potential, or a longing for simpler, carefree times. Being in this intimate setting may indicate a desire for familial connection or a reflection of your feelings towards family responsibilities.
Memory of Your Sister’s Death: This intense emotional trigger reflects unfinished feelings or unresolved grief regarding your sister’s passing. This element indicates that you may be processing deep sorrow or a sense of loss. It also suggests that the memory of her has a significant impact on how you interact with familial relationships and may be intertwined with your identity.
Closet as a Hiding Place: Hiding in a closet signifies a desire to escape from something that feels overwhelming—perhaps past trauma or your feelings surrounding your sister’s death. This act of hiding suggests an instinctive reaction to fear and vulnerability.
Previous Stepfather Appearing: His admonishment against hiding may represent unresolved feelings about your past or unresolved issues within your family dynamics. This figure could symbolize authority or judgment, leading to feelings of inadequacy or fear of confrontation.
Wolves: Wolves often embody themes of danger, instinct, and fear. They can represent aspects of yourself that feel threatening or aggressive, or they may symbolize external pressures you feel are encroaching upon your sense of safety. As they approach, they may represent your fears or past traumas converging upon your life.
Floating Away: The act of floating away can signify a release from burden, but it may also represent a sense of loss of control. It could suggest a desire to escape from situations or emotions that feel too heavy to bear. This floating away might symbolize a longing for freedom from the fears and responsibilities that have paralyzed you, or it can be seen as a transcendence above earthly woes, finding peace in the chaos.
Your dream reflects a deep struggle with grief, familial relationships, and a desire for both connection and escape. The transition between buildings signifies your navigation through these complex feelings. The strong presence of your sister's memory indicates that her death heavily influences your current emotional landscape. Your hiding signifies a desire to protect yourself from painful memories, while the appearance of the wolves suggests that unresolved issues or fears are pursuing you.
The dream ultimately can be viewed as a journey towards understanding. The act of floating away may indicate a need to detach from fears and traumas, seeking a calm space above the chaos. This dream may be prompting you to confront these fears and feelings head-on rather than hide, suggesting that a healing process may be necessary for you to fully reconcile your past and allow for growth in your present and future. Engaging with these emotions could yield clarity and help you build resilience as you navigate your familial relationships and personal history.
